I'm an independent software developer/system architect with 30 years experience. My love for movies and screenwriting, though, developed long before my fascination with machines that "think". I've studied dozens of commercial scripts and, like everybody and his brother, have started numerous screenplays of my own, none of which have ever been completed.
Why I'm Interested In Movies Among Friends:
I love movies and the idea that writing and filming a 120-page story can change lives.
I would suggest something like Stand By Me or Fried Green Tomatoes, because I think you have a knack for capturing rural 1950-60s America, maybe a "Jim Crow piece" -- didn't you have a little black friend? Or something built around that horrible image of a man crushed inside a bale of cotton. You could even use a mystery motif/structure, or coming of age, or combine the two.
Hi buddy, I just send you a message about the Screenwriting Group, but I also wanted to ask you a big favor if you are up to it. Would you mind adding a post to the Willow discussion explaining how to use that sticky note tool you found; and also where to download it online, etc. I would like for the writers to use that as a tool for reviewing/critiquing. Thanks a ton. Hope you had a great Fathers Day!
